Meet Peter

Peter grew up in Campsie, a culturally diverse suburb in Sydney. When he was in Year 10, he reluctantly agreed to go along to Youth Group as a favour to a friend. He enjoyed the social element so much that it enticed him to check out their Sunday service. It was there that Peter heard about salvation through Jesus, and handed his life over.

He’s never looked back.

Peter is married to Jess and has two wonderful and energetic little girls, aged one and three. He currently worships at Epping Church of Christ where Jess is on the ministry staff. He loves that he gets to share life with lots of other Christian families of a similar age.

A self-confessed data-nerd, Peter loves to crunch numbers and find solutions. He has spent much of his working life in corporate banking, and within that, helping disadvantaged clients to get their loans on track. He has a big heart for changing systems that make it difficult for the vulnerable to succeed.

“I feel God has called me to spend my time in the intersection between the Marketplace and the church, and to be able to use my knowledge and acumen to help God’s Kingdom in a practical, frontline way.”

Peter describes himself as “the Daddest man on the planet” and finds great joy in family time. He can also be found working on fitness in his home gym or exploring the DC and Marvel worlds.

Peter is keen to visit clients and chat to them about how BFS can help ministry to thrive. You can contact Peter on 0413 990 184 or send him an email at peterc@bfs.org.au to welcome him to the team and arrange a visit.
