On each occasion the Registrant or user (Applicant, Signatories, Beneficial Owners etc.) accesses BFSConnect, they will be required to acknowledge their acceptance of the latest terms and conditions applying at that time.

BFSConnect Terms & Conditions

BFSConnect is available to Australian citizens and Australian residents only. When you use BFSConnect, you agree that:

  • you are giving BFS instructions to establish and manage BFS Accounts and Loans,
  • BFS can rely on these instructions, and you will be liable for all we process from using BFSConnect,
  • if you believe that your password has been breached, you must notify BFS as soon as possible, and change your password immediately, and
  • if you believe there has been a mistake or we processed an Account or Loan that you did not authorise, you must immediately contact BFS.

The security of your login and password is very important. To avoid any unauthorised use, it is very important that you keep both your login and your password confidential. That is, not to disclose your password to anyone (including family members or us) and/or to allow another person to watch you input them. You agree to:

  • choose a password that does not contain any part or combination of your date of birth, your name, family members names, or licence, or similar numbers,
  • record your codes in writing only with a reasonable attempt to protect their security,
  • avoid storing your login and password in electronic organisers, mobile phones, personal computers, or any other type of low security electronic device,
  • never disclose your login to anyone or permit any other person to use your login and password,
  • inform us as soon as you realise or suspect that another person knows one or more of your login and password via clients@bfs.org.au or by phoning 1300 650 542 (if outside of business hours please leave a message on our answering service),

BFS may cancel or suspend your access to BFSConnect at any time. If BFS does this and it is practical to do so, we will notify you prior to cancelling or suspending your access to

BFSConnect. You may terminate your BFSConnect at any time by giving notice in writing to BFS.

Please ensure that your computer is secure with the latest anti-virus software and a firewall. BFSConnect uses two factor authentication where a message is sent to your verified mobile number to protect your data records.

BFSConnect is certified secure by a RapidSSL Certificate which establishes an encrypted connection between a website/server and a browser. Essentially, it is the unification of TLS/SSL, IoT and PKI security through a centrally managed platform. TLS/SSL certificates protect your private information by encrypting and securing the private data that is transmitted.
